No two ways about it, this is the most action packed, fun-filled, fully mobile Mediaeval Banquet set-up in the country. Our troupe has masses of experience, and with the emphasis on spectacular stunts, colourful characters and audience participation; this ain’t no history lesson!
|
We can pull off a whole evenings entertainment with as little as 4 characters - but for bigger events we’ve the crew to seriously impress your guests. Our team has been working together for over 15 years, and has appeared all over the UK and even as far afield as Malta. If you prefer pick just one or two characters to add a bit more to your existing event line-up.
Flexibility is the key to a successful banquet, and as such we’ll take into account venue size, audience numbers and your budget to come up with the best package. We have certain key elements that bond the evening together, but the amount of interaction on your part is up to you. Stand back and let us entertain you, or join in with our tournament.

TYPICAL SCENARIO
Guests will be welcomed back in time by our banqueteers, led by the Court Chamberlain. A table usually acts as stage for our characters to work from (but is not essential), and you can even nominate a couple of your own guests to join us as honorary King and queen. Between courses, and at key points of the evening, we feature slices of action, games or entertainment from our Court Jester. If you a particular theme in mind - Robin Hood, Arthurian etc - we’ve costumes and characters at the ready. We’re also able to personalise the script for the evening around yourself or the venue.
CHARACTERS

Our COURT CHAMBERLAIN will host the revelry, calling for food and keeping the rest of the bunch in as much order as he’s able. He’ll usually be accompanied by a lady or two, the old devil. If you’d prefer he can take on the role of King.

DUELLING KNIGHTS will be on hand to mix and mingle, and over the course of an evening will inevitably compete for the affections of our Lady - their argument climaxing in the most awe-inspiring sword battle seen for 800 years. The action is fast and furious, and you won’t see more a realistic display.

A JESTER or two will be making a nuisance of themselves and showing off all night, and as a great round-off to the evening will perform a fire show or similar cabaret spot.

You’ll be needing a WANDERING MINSTREL, but for larger events we recommend a fully fledged 4-5 piece authentic MEDIEAVAL BAND - who can also up the tempo for some dancing later.

AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION
We’ve some fantastic games that can be used between courses if you’d like to get your guests involved; ideal for a room split into battling sections. Champions are chosen to represent and over the course of an evening we find an overall winner. There’s the truly tortuous `TEST OF STRENGTH` (broadsword at arms length); the incredibly competitive `STUMPS` (a balance-of-war set on tree stumps); `JOUST`(a hobby horse relay over obstacle course);`LION LAUNCH` (giant catapults fire lions into castle windows(!)). And of course we’ve our own set of stocks for troublemakers.

DAYTIME MEDIAEVAL EVENTS
We can also provide daytime Mediaeval entertainment and Arena shows. Jousting on horseback, Re-enactment displays and lots of activities such as axe throwing / archery. Kids can also get involved in one of our daytime activity packages such as the Robin Hood theme, with storytelling, puppetry and theatre..
